Travel between Brazil and the U.S. on a British passport
IMPORTANT
We aim to process all routine UK passport applications within 10 working days - EXCLUDING COURIER TIME. We may take longer if your application is incomplete, or if we have to refer it.
We do not normally offer a fast track passport service. It's important that you apply for your new UK passport in good time, and avoid making travel plans until you receive it.
Please follow our on-line guidance notes carefully when completing your application. If you send us an incomplete or wrong application (e.g. if your form is not signed, dated, or countersigned, your photos do not conform to our standards, etc) then we will return your application to you and charge you for the courier fee.
From 22nd September 2008, if you're applying for a British passport in Brazil, you may require an interview (see leaflet for more information). If you fall into one of these categories, then please allow at least 6 weeks for your application to be processed and avoid making any travel plans until you receive your new passport".
